What's in my Studio Today? Mixed Media Original Paintings.

Mixed Media Original Painting on Canvas
30 inches x 30 inches
(c) Christy Tremblay 2105 All Rights Reserved
(Untitled) Title coming soon!

Hello to All!

I have been able to get in my studio the past few days; with my girls going back to school and putting other things aside...like working on getting the house back in order, after a two week break of everyone home!  But, that will have to wait!

My show is coming up and I want to have a couple of larger paintings to hang with the 4 inch x 4 inch house paintings.

So here it is, the large painting I have been posting the past few days, in different stages.

I thought I was finished with it last night, until I showed it to my children and realized, the small houses looked as though they were floating.  It took all I had to wait until today to work on it some more and not at midnight last night.

Here are some of the details of this painting along with my studio mess

New Mixed Media Original Painting

(c) Christy Tremblay 2015 All Rights Reserved

"Untitled" (for now)
Original Christy Tremblay
Mixed Media on Canvas
30 inches x 30 inches

Hello to All!

I have been busy working on this larger painting, which will be featured in my upcoming show, A Painted House A Day

I posted the first stages of this 30 inch x 30 inch works a couple of days ago.
This is what it looked like in the early stages.

I was able to work on it some more, and am really loving how it has evolved!

Maybe a few more marks and details before I add the varnish...what do you think?

I really need to look at the painting from a far to see it as a whole. At this point I may add more marks and small details, before I add the final varnish.

This is the stage I call, "stepping back."
I wrote about the stages of painting in a previous post...How Does an Artist Know When a Painting is Done?

I think it is almost ready for varnish!

I would LOVE to hear what you think!

Stages of Creating Mixed Media Painting

I posted the picture of the beginning of my house painting I'm working on in my last blog post.

I've been working more tonight...look at the changes that have taken place!
I would say it's about 1/4 finished.
More to do!

First Stage of Painting

Adding layers of paint and medium to build up texture.

What color do you see for the house?
I have been seeing red...but as the painting evolves, I'm not sure. Have to wait and see.
