House #21 - Yellow House II

A Painted House A Day
House #21
Yellow House II
April 13th,  2014

I lived in a yellow house in Kirkland, Washington, my hometown.

It's the house where my youngest daughter was an infant and loved to be put to bed in her white bunting- zipped up snug and cozy. And my oldest daughter started Kindergarten and lost her first tooth.
It's the house where we anxiously waited for my husband to return from a one year deployment from Iraq. The house where I had support that year from family and friends just a few miles away.
There is something comforting about the color yellow, something that is happy and calm.
I think I will be painting more yellow Art Houses in this series.

Yellow House #1 has been recently reserved for purchase. To reserve your original Art House please go to- https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2004973031/a-painted-house-a-day-183-days-of-art-houses? "Home is the nicest word there is."-Laura Ingalls Wilder
