Art Work Art Gifts Artist Painted

Art Gallery Shop

The holidays are creeping up and I sure am busy! Make sure to scroll to the bottom to see my new art collections, perfect for gifts!

I have been painting like crazy, entering art shows, hosting art shows in my home, and trying to learn to market my art...it's exhausting and super wonderful, all at the same time!  Did I forget to mention, taking care of my family -two daughters, husband, and our dog!  Yes, learning to carve out time for my art is a full time project.

To share with you some of my most recent art events is my pleasure.

I hosted a Gallery Hop in our home.  It was a lot of work, but worth it all. I had about fifty people come through and sold a lot of new and older works of art.  My home was turned into a gallery for the evening and a lot of wine, good food, friends, conversation, and art happened. It was a wonderful evening!

I was recently chosen to have one of my new paintings in an all women's juried art show.

This work of art has been accepted in an upcoming juried art show. It will be for sale during the month of the show.
The following are the details of this art call.

Art Show Info
Believing Is Seeing
In the world of science as in much of life, seeing is believing. In the world of art, more often the reverse is true: believing is seeing. In the studio an artist borrows from her own imagination and vision, whether from a very personal inner world, or from the material world around her. Starting with a blank canvas, a lump of clay, or a found object, and drawing on her own life experience and beliefs, the artist transforms her vision into art, sharing her truth with others. This juried exhibition of WCA/DC members’ work affirms their belief that art can be seen all around us.
The Women’s Caucus for Art - District of Columbia Chapter has issued a call for entries for a juried show that opens on December 2, 2016 at Artists and Makers Galleries in Rockville, MD. Rebecca Cross, owner of the Cross MacKenzie Gallery in Georgetown, will jury the show.

Art Studio New Paintings Summer Flower Series

Summer Flower Series

What's in my studio today?

I started two summer flower series paintings.  This one is a commission, which will be going to a client in Dallas, Texas, when it is finished. It's exciting to create an original art work for someone to enjoy and to their specific design request.
I create paintings from emotion, color, and feel instead of portraying a realistic image. I hope that when someone sees my work they will feel a connection and emotions to the colors and texture.

New Art Store...HEAVEN!

Hi!

We have landed in our new home!  Getting settled after our move from Texas to Virginia and looking forward to finding and adding inspiration to my Blog.  I know it's been a while since I have posted!  No apologies to make though, we have had a busy summer and moving takes A LOT out of me.  I am also learning/trying to stop apologizing for so many things. Take one day at a time and do your best each day. And if you aren't your best, find inspiration, to use at a later time...

I have had time to reflect on my art creating and the past year of blogging.  Although I don't know what lies ahead this year, for me - art wise, I do know that I still need to create art.

My studio is still in boxes...but I know soon I will be able to unpack and set up my new creative space...which this time around, is in an extra bedroom. Pictures to come soon!

Today I found an art supply store near our house. After two years of living without a good art supply store near by, I was in heaven! Sensory overload, to say the least.  If you are a creative person, I know you can relate to the feeling of seeing a row full of vivid, soft pastels waiting to be crushed on a canvas.

 Love these Japanese Papers!

Inspiration! I love adding paper to a mixed media painting.

Wonderful mediums to use with mixed media art!

Thank you for taking a peek into my day!  I look forward to sharing more art inspirations with you, from my new Virginia home.

Something Fun!

While I haven't been able to make any new paintings...being busy with the move, I have had fun designing these Fun Drink Coasters!

These artist printed coasters are from, "A Painted House A Day," Art Collection of my original mixed media paintings on canvas. Now available as stunning sets of drinks coasters!

Artist in Action Immerse and Emerge the Salado Art Experince

A Work in Progress...

Currently Untitled
Mixed Media on Canvas
24" x 48"
Christy Tremblay

My next art event is this Saturday from 2 pm to 4 pm at Salado Winery, Salado, Texas.

Immerse and Emerge  the Salado Art Experience

I will be working on this painting during the event,
Artist in Action Christy Tremblay
in hopes to get it close to completion. I don't usually work in public on my art, actually, almost never! SO, this should be an interesting task for me as well as interesting for the public to view.

My typical "work" time of creating in my studio is very solitary.  My dog Finn does join me on many occasions...if he's not sleeping on the couch.  Painting for me is meditative and an inward experience. Any noise, except my music is distracting.

I decided the best way to paint in public for this event would be to have a painting that is about half way complete...A Work in Progress!

This way, I can add the details to the painting and not worry about the first layers needing to dry.

I'm sure I will learn a lot about myself as an artist!

Check back to see an update and pics from the event.

Art "Work" Day Hanging Paintings for Art Festival

Hi,

Today was a "work day," which means that I didn't get to paint.  I went to the Salado Winery to hang more paintings for this weekends - Texas Wine and Art Rogue Festival.

I'm with my original painting,

"Winter Bloom."

36" x 36" Mixed media on Canvas
Available
$1900

I love this painting!  It has many layers, which makes for wonderful texture and vibrant color.

I had to take an artist selfie...just for fun. It turned out pretty good...Sorry, I don't do the fish lips:)

As I waited for the winery owner to open the doors, I explored the outdoors around the winery.  It was a perfect 75 degree, sunny day in Salado, Texas.

Here is what I found...

A Taco Truck...just
Outside of the Salado Winery.

Enjoy wine tasting, original art, and tacos!

Of course I had to stop in, after hanging my paintings, for some chicken tacos.  So yummy!
And, they were only 2.00/taco!

If you get a chance to go...I recommend the brisket taco and of course with the green salsa.

 An Owl Carving...

This little guy was carved into this rock outside of the Salado Visitors Center.

 A wine bottle tree...

This art instillation is really cool and I love how the wine bottles pick up the sunlight, adding highlights to the bottles.

You can also check out the antique shop next door.

The Salado Winery  art gallery room is next to the wine tasting room.  Perfect for viewing original art and enjoying Texas wines.

My paintings will be on display at the winery and available for purchase through June 2015.

Poppy 1, Poppy 2, and Home Again are some of my
Original Paintings available for the art festival.

More of my paintings on display for the art festival.

I love this old section of fence, I found at an antique store.  A really fun way to display my smaller paintings.

This is my favorite display of my art ( at least right now).  I love the spring colors in these new paintings!

This is "Spring Flurry 1" and "Spring Flurry 2"

"Yellow" is the one in the middle...of course!

"Spring Flurry 4"

I LOVE the colors on this gallery wall!
