FIREFLIES! - My New Series - A Painted House A Day

 

 

 

 

Hi!

I just completed the series; Black and White - with Poppies, which I loved!

 I may have to re visit it later and add more black and white painted houses, but for now,  I am on to a new series, Fireflies!

And, what  better way to celebrate summer, don't you think? 

Who doesn't love the magic of these tiny lights!?

Did you collect them as a child?  In mason jars, I bet!  And maybe cherished them for the night, on a nightstand by your bed, before letting them go the next morning. 

I grew up in the Seattle area and can remember finding them on camping trips near the water, but not always near my home.  As I later moved to new states with my husband for his military work,  I found them again, but in more abundance, then my childhood, depending on the state we were living in.

Of course, my daughters are mesmerized by them, and I love seeing them running through the summer night sky with jar in hand.
