Did you know I went to Auburn University for two semesters? It is in Auburn, Alabama...that's a whole other story...for another post.

Keeping to my art...
My style of painting, can be characterized with; texture, lines, circles, abstract in nature, loose color, and built up layers of paint and other mixed media...  Christy Tremblay Painting

I took some fine art classes from Auburn University art department to keep my teaching certificate current.   Little did I know at the time, it was those art instructors  who would have a great impact on my art interest, style, and direction.

One of the classes I took was on women's art history.  I learned about Frida Kahlo and have since loved her life story and her art work.
Her art inspired my choice of color palette for this small painting and mixed media metal star.
I love the bold richness of the colors. Check back to see where this may lead.

"The only thing I know is that I paint because I need to, and I paint whatever passes through my head without any other consideration."
