Here is a sneak peak of a painting I started today.  It is not finished yet, but I am excited for how it is coming along...and wanted to share it with you.

 I will keep all 183 art house paintings until my project is complete. At the end of this project, I will have an art show with all of the paintings. The location of the show will be announced at a later time.
Here are some details of the art you are purchasing:
Original paintings on canvas. Mixed media - including acrylic paint, paper, pastel, and other mediums.

This will be the last house of the Black and White with Poppies series.  I will start a new series tomorrow!  What do you think this new series will be?  You will have to wait and see...but I will give you a clue...think Summer Night Lights...hmmm...leave a comment below with your guess.

My friend Jenn,  reminded me of the song by John Cougar Mellancamp, Little Pink Houses For You and Me. I did a pink house back in my Rain series.
Here is another pink house! I looked up the lyrics to the song and it actually fits very well for this pink house as well as Memorial Day weekend. A similar saying I hear a lot in the Army town I live in. .. "Home of the free, because of the brave."

Polka Dots Series & New Series

I loved the polka dots series! Mainly because I love circles and dots and have always used them in my paintings.  Here are all of the polka dot series together.

I am starting my new series today which will be house #62. I'm not sure yet what the title will be. I posted this picture of the first steps in preparation for this series.  These are hand made stencils, I made this morning.  I am using the semi - relief technique in making the houses. I use molding paste, similar to plaster. When the molding paste dries, I can paint over the house and add the details.
Check back tonight to see the first house in this series. ..and for the title. Any ideas??
